Description #7551 Hadjilili Tabriz This 19th century Hadjilili Tabriz antique Persian Carpet measures 9’6” X 13’2” (293 x 402 cm). It has a cream colored ground with an overall floral motif in peach and aubergine. The major border is the same motif on a cream ground with lightning bolt vines. The minor repeating borders have the same color scheme as the rest of the rug in a meandering flower motif. The rug is 99% full pile an is in essentially perfect condition with maybe in total 1 square foot of low area in three or four places. These areas can only be seen if you look into the nap. If you look over the nap you cannot see it. The wools and colors of the rug are very soft. There is an extremely lovely navy blue abrash 15” wide running the entire width of the rug. This is not a dye lot change or a mistake. It is put there on purpose as a design element. The ends and sides are complete. The rug is clean and readyto go. The buyer pays the shipping which includes insurance of $400.00.
