Description This circa 1930 oversized Kerman Persian Oriental Rug measures 9’10” X 14’0” (303 x 457 cm). It has a dark blue field containing a red medallion. The rug is very busy with a n overall floral motif and pale peach to ivory corners. This type of rug for obvious reasons is called a ‘Crowded Kerman’. There are two minor borders in Wedgewood blue surrounded with a red major border containing floral cartouches in Wedgewood blue and seafoam green. The rug is very attractive. The rug showed area of significant wear which have been touch dyed so now they virtually disappear into the pile. This rug is priced at $3500. This size Kerman, of this age and quality, if in perfect condition would be $8500 of anybody’s money. It has complete ends and sides. It is clean and ready to go.
