With a percolator, you make coffee in an authentic way. Unscrew the top of the percolator and remove the coffee filter. Pour water into the lower water tank, and fill the filter with coffee. Place the filter back on the reservoir and screw the top part back on. Place the percolator on an electric or ceramic hob. The percolator is also suitable for gas or open fire. Once the water boils, it will bubble up through the coffee to the top of the percolator. Use the spout of the jar to pour the coffee. Now this says it makes 6 cups, in my humble opinion that would be espresso cups and the not the size of mug I use.
