A gentleman in Pennsylvania reached out to us to help him sell his antique meerschaum collection. Among the collection was this cheeroot pipe, used many decaded ago to smoke small cigars. The detail in this old meer is about as good as it gets. Both horns are still intact which isn’t all that common for meers over 100 years old. I do believe the stem has been replaced at some point, and replaced with the bakelite stem you see here. The stem is intact and cannot be removed from the shank.
